Simple Electronic Fishing Lure Circuit

Last updated on 12 July 2025 by Admin-Lavi Leave a Comment

This article for Simple Electronic Fishing Lure Circuit shows how to make electric fishing lure.

It uses small buzzer to make sound when fish come.

Easy to make and also works very good.

Be careful: fishing rules not same everywhere.

Before using electric lure check in your country if it is allowed or not.

What is a Electronic Fishing Lure Circuit:

Electronic fishing lure circuit use parts like transistor, resistor, inductor and piezo transducer.

Piezo transducer are very important as it changes electric signal for vibration which goes in water.

To catch a big fish circuit make vibration like small fish or insect move.

Below is how to make it and how circuit work.

Circuit Working:

Simple Electronic Fishing Lure Circuit Diagram

Parts List:

CategoryDescriptionQuantity
Resistors100k CFR, 4.7k CFR1 each
SemiconductorsTransistor BC5471
Buzzer Inductor1
Piezo 3 Pin 27mm1

First put resistor R1 to give bias to transistor T1.

This step very important so transistor work correct.

Then add resistor R2 it stop feedback and when T1 work piezo makes negative pulse for feedback.

This feedback help whole circuit to keep vibrating.

Use 27mm normal piezo element which is the main part of the circuit.

Cover piezo with something which does not conduct electricity to keep safe.

At fishing place put piezo in water so lure can work.

When piezo gives feedback and disturb T1 bias the circuit makes high frequency vibration.

Inductor value and piezo material chooses correct for making right frequency.

When in water piezo send electric vibration far away.

This buzzing sound copy fly moving so fish think it is real and come near the lure.

Formula:

Below is the formula to find frequency:

f = 1 / 2π√LC

where:

  • f is frequency of circuit in hertz Hz
  • L is inductor value in henry H
  • C is capacitor value in farad F
  • π (pi) is number around 3.14159
  • √ means square root

This formula help to know how fast circuit vibrate.

How to Build:

To make an Simple Electronic Fishing Lure Circuit follow the steps below.

Get components ready:

  • Collect all needed parts and check everything is there.
  • Use normal 27 mm piezo transducer.

Put Transistor T1 in place:

  • Place transistor T1 on PCB (printed board).
  • Follow guide and connect wires correct to PCB using jumper wire.

Connect Resistor R1:

  • Add resistor R1 to give bias to transistor.
  • Connect one side of R1 to PCB positive and other side to transistor base.

Presenting Resistor R2:

  • Now add R2 as feedback stopper.
  • One side of R2 connects to PCB negative and other side connects where inductor and transistor collector join.

Put Inductor L in:

  • Place inductor in circuit.
  • Connect one end to transistors emitter and other end to the place where R2 and collector meet.

Get piezo ready:

  • Take standard 27 mm piezo and cover it with non-conducting stuff.
  • This stop outside electric problem and gives safety.

Submerge in Water:

  • At fishing spot put piezo inside water.
  • Be sure piezo goes full under water so signal connects good through water.

Give circuit power:

  • Connect battery or power source to PCB correct place.
  • Be sure power is ON and wires are not wrong way connected.

Examine oscillation:

  • Look if piezo is buzzing.
  • If buzzing happen that mean high frequency wave is working.
  • This happen when feedback from piezo changes transistor bias.

If needed fine tune:

  • If not working good then change some parts to make frequency better.

Conclusion:

In this Simple Electronic Fishing Lure Circuit remember all fishing lures work differently.

Rules change in every place so check fishing law first.

How good this lure work depend on fish type and water place.

With new techniques fishermen now have new tools to help catch more fish with electric lure.
