This is a special electronic helper!
It can sense when someone wets the bed or diaper and then rings an alarm like a doorbell.
This way, parents or caretakers will know right away and can help.
This can be useful for children who wet the bed at night, or for people who need extra help using the bathroom.

Bedwetting is a common childhood issue that can greatly affect a childs health if not addressed.
Parents may be unaware of the problem during the night leading to the child sleeping on a wet bed or in wet clothing.
A Bedwetting/Wet Nappy alert system offers an effective solution by alerting parents with an alarm as soon as the child starts to wet the bed.
The bedwetting alarm is widely regarded as a highly effective solution without the potential side effects of medical treatments.
This circuit for a wet condition sensor produces loud beeps upon detecting moisture using a special moisture sensor an etched PCB positioned on the bed sheet near the child.
The alarm wakes both the child and the parents allowing them to address the situation promptly by taking the child to the bathroom and changing their wet clothes before returning to bed.
This basic alert system can also benefit physically challenged individuals, hospital patients and those with nocturnal enuresis involuntary urination.

Recognizing the IC 4060 for a Wet Diaper/Bedwetting Alarm
An 14 stage binary ripple counter is the IC 4060.
Because of its versatility in producing a broad range of output frequencies and pulse lengths, it is frequently utilized in timing applications.
Formula for Frequency in IC 4060
In a simple setup, the frequency (f) produced by the IC 4060 is found using the following formula:
f = 1 / (2N * R * C)
where,
- In hertz, f represents the output frequency.
- N is the total number of steps 1–14
- The external resistor that is attached to pin is R.
- Pin 12 is linked to an external capacitor, designated as 11 C.
Note:
Depending on the intended checking interval, sensor specifications, and battery life needs, a bedwetting/wet diaper alerts particular frequency will vary.
How to Build:
To build a Simple Bedwetting/Wet Diaper Alert Circuit follow the below mentioned steps:
Prepare the Moisture Sensor:
- Place the two closely spaced Moisture sensor etched PCB pad.
- Ensure that the pads do not touch each other when dry.
Connect the Transistor:
- Connect the NPN transistor BC547 to the breadboard.
- Connect the collector pin to the positive terminal of the battery through a buzzer the emitter pin to the negative terminal of the battery and the base pin through a 1k resistor.
- Connect the positive terminal of the battery to the collector pin of the transistor and the negative terminal to the emitter pin of the transistor.
- Test the circuit by wetting the moisture sensor.
- When moisture is detected the alarm buzzer should sound.
Enclosure:
- Once the circuit is working correctly, you can enclose it in a suitable enclosure to protect it and make it more user friendly.
Note:
- Please note that this is a basic circuit and may need modifications for optimal performance.
- Also, ensure that the circuit is safe to use especially if it is intended for children or vulnerable individuals.
Conclusion:
A Bedwetting/Wet Diaper Alert Circuit is a simple yet effective electronic solution to help manage bedwetting in children or assist in the care of individuals with bladder control issues.
By using a moisture sensor to detect wetness and trigger an alarm this circuit alerts parents or caregivers promptly allowing them to take action and ensure the comfort and well being of the child or individual.
With basic electronic components and a simple circuit design, this alert system can be easily built and customized to suit different needs and situations.
